Sunday will then see the competitors heading into the Scottish borders and with the total of 150 miles in just 46 hours the 2015 Roger Albert Clark Rally is set to be the most compact so far. Entries are now open for the 12th competition to be held with the all-forest stages on Saturday and Sunday set to take in the very best gravel roads in Kielder and the Scottish borders. The entry fee has been trimmed by £100 this year making the cost to feature £1875 and there has been a lot of interest from European crews. Upon testing the stages the organisers were delighted with the road conditions and this is sure to be an event to remember. Speaking to www. rogeralbertclarkrally.org, Rally Manager Colin Heppenstall said, ““We’re really pleased with the route and delighted to be returning to Sunderland.” “We’ll have a ceremonial start in Mowbray Park in Sunderland city centre this year. We’ve got some absolutely beautiful stages. “They have all been regraded and are well settled. Many of the roads have not been used since last year.” Every evening the rally will return to Sunderland as the city hosts scrutineering as well as the start and finishing ceremony on Sunday evening. Anyone wishing to view the events will be able to do so at a number of locations including most of the special stages. Everything appears to be in place for another successful event in 2015 and the organisers deserve tremendous credit for the hard work that has gone into making this possible. www.rogeralbertclarkrally.org www.sportip.biz 19
