stoke potters speedway Stoke Potters speedway S toke Potters Speedway was first formed in 1929 with speedway racing beginning at the Sun Street Stadium in Hanley, Stoke on Trent. This continued until pre-war 1939 with more than 30,000 people paying to watch Speedway. The sport has been ever present at Loomer Road since 1973 barring a season’s hiatus in 1993 and also in 1996 when the team merged with Cradley Heath. This only lasted for one year however as normal service was resumed in 1997 and they have been known as Stoke Potters ever since. Over the years the club has put together a history of which they have every right to be proud and their track record was set by Ty Proctor (08/08/2009) and Steve Johnston (26/09/09) and stands at 60.5.
