More recent success has seen the County hurling team winning the Nicky Rackard Cup in 2005 and 2011. The London Senior Football Team contested its first ever Connacht Final in 2013 ending in defeat to Mayo. Aside from being ‘the’ focal point of the Association in London, Ruislip is also a centre of cultural importance for the larger Irish community in London.
