Our ladies team is very well supported and as well as playing some very entertaining rugby the Ladies take the lead in organising many Social events within the Club. “At the moment on the Island whilst many younger girls are involved in the game up to contact and the separation of the sexes, most drift away due to a lack of numbers and games to keep them interested, but some do return later for the adult game. “Isle of Man Vagabonds RUFC has a great involvement with the community. We have held events to support the local Hospice and the local farming benevolent fund, which was especially hard hit after the late snows of two years ago. In fact several members of the Club volunteered to assist the farmers in digging out their stock from the huge drifts, such help being gratefully received. “Another part of the community aspect of the Club is that we frequently host games between ourselves and a Farmers XV (many of whom play for a variety of different clubs) when charity collections are taken for various local causes. 14 Issue 08 “The event is further enhanced by th
