orkington Comets Speedway is based at the Derwent Park Stadium and they currently compete in British
Speedway’s Premier League. They are led by Owner/Promoter Laura Morgan whilst Tony Jackson is their
Team Manager and they are looking to progress under their guidance.
They compete every Saturday night during the season and
supporters can watch the racing from the main grandstand on
the home straight or from the first and second bend terracing as
well as from the back straight stand.
They are committed to providing visitors to the stadium
with the best experience possible and also have a licensed bar
and hospitality lounge with balcony views overlooking the
track. There is also a selection of hot and cold food and drinks
available for purchase.
This season they have made a steady start to their league
campaign, winning one and losing one of their first two
matches. This has left them sitting in a mid-table position with
three points on the board.
