aving first been established in 1992, Hull RUFC has put together a history of which they have every right to be
proud. We caught up with their Chairman David Piercy to find out more about the good work that they’ve been
doing lately.
He told us, “I have been a supporter of Hull RUFC for just
over 20 years. My involvement with the club came from my
professional relationship with the members of the club and
more so when my son Alex moved from Driffield RUFC
approximately 9 years ago. I have sponsored the club every
year during this period. I was asked late last season if I would
take on the role of Chairman which I accepted.
“I have been in the post for nearly a year now and one of
the steepest learning curves was breaking into an established
network of contacts and relationships and becoming part
of that network. Probably the most rewarding aspect of my
role is meeting people on all levels. The biggest challenge is
