durham regatta the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo. We are also having a Waterloo Ale produced for the regatta, which will be on sale at the bar.  We are also increasing our family entertainment on offer, and will have several bands performing, as well as stilt walkers, punch and judy show, face painting, children’s fairground rides, a classic car rally, and displays from the Army.” IMAGE courtesy of john attle Get Involved “We are always keen to attract more volunteers to help in both the run-up to the event, and over the weekend itself.  The success of the regatta depends on volunteers, and there are many roles, large and small. It is very rewarding to see the event run on the day, and be part of the second oldest rowing event in the UK, and the largest in the North of England.” Challenges/Ambitions “The biggest challenge we face is finding volunteers to conti
