Interest Company
The 7 Stanes Community Interest Company (CIC) is a not for profit organisation set up following the
red uction in public sector funding and works hard to sustain the 7stanes project by increasing visitor
numbers and generate revenue in order to ensure the project is self-funding for the benefit of 7stanes and
the economy of the South of Scotland. Forestry Commission Scotland is responsible for the management
of the trails

The Talking Head Stane
Trails available: Skills Area, Green Route (AE Valley Route), Blue
Route (The Larch View Route), Red Route (Ae Line – Scottish
Power Renewables Trail), 2 Orange bike park graded trails (The
Shredder/Ae Downhill)
Ae is just 20 miles from the M74 in Dumfries and Galloway but
visiting this Stane takes you to another world entirely. With a
variety of trails including an extreme rated downhill section it has
plenty to offer regardless of your skill level.
