HNC was born out of a group of ex pupils of the local school over 40 years ago. Being one of
the founder members and the only PE teacher, it fell to me to organise and coach the group.
From those 8 players, we have
developed into one of the
foremost clubs in the country
with a membership of over 200
and operating 7 senior squads
and 8 junior squads every week.
As Chair of the club, one of the
most challenging aspects is to
try and ensure our continued
success by establishing a solid
volunteer base of parents and
players. It is rewarding to see
how many people give their
time freely, coaching one of the

many teams, team managing,
umpiring or doing administrative
tasks all necessary to maintain
the smooth operating of such a
large club.
Currently at the club we are
experiencing a spate of injuries )ݡ
