RHC COUGARS RFC
We’ve started to do an annual fundraiser
called Cougar 24 as well where we play
24 hours of rugby. We raised some money
this year which was all put into improving
the equipment we have here.”
Ambitions
“I think we’ve been pleasantly surprised
at how well we’ve been doing on the field
and so will look to continue that. The U18
team is competing for the first time this
year in a new league that has been set up
which is a real step up for them so we’re
looking for them to establish themselves.
We want a regular stream of kids coming
from the school to play for that side and
then hopefully represent the first team.
The ethos at the club is very positive. We
don’t hide the fact that we don’t believe in
paying or importing players. If people want
to come and play for us it’s because they
want to play an exciting brand of rugby
and have a good time doing it. If people
are interesting in playing or watching that
sort of club then please come along!”
