Cheshire area in their
first year. The partnership
ensures that every year 5
and 6 pupil in Ellesmere
Port Primary Schools will
be offered a chance to
join the Hoops 4 Health
programme.
The programme itself
involves
some
of
Phoenix’s
professional
players using basketball
to convey positive health
messages including the
importance of keeping
physically active and
promoting all aspects
of a healthy lifestyle.
The
partnership
was
launched at Elton Primary
School with pupils being
introduced to players Mike
DiNunno and Demond
Watt.
Speaking

for the Phoenix said,
“The pupils had a great
afternoon, meeting the
players, hearing the health
messages and joining in
with the activities. We also
made sure that they had
tickets to come and watch
the Phoenix in action, and
join the ever growing band
of Phoenix supporters.”
Cheshire Phoenix has
been doing some fantastic
work both on and off the
court in recent times and
there is much to admire
about the superb set-up
that they have in place.
Hopefully they will be able
to keep up the good work
that they have been doing
for many years to come.
