“The biggest challenges
for us in the future will
be player recruitment
and retention. In the past
Wolverhampton attracted
quite a few Irish lads of
playing age to work or
study in the area. They
arrived ready to play but
this is less the case now
so we have to recruit
from other sports and
train new players up. The
underage are starting to
come through also but
only a few from any one
year will be retained as
others will travel for work
or university. In the next
few years I would like to
see us taking the Division
2 championship. It’s our
premier competition. From
there we could once again
challenge in the division
one leagues.”
