MJW KAWASAKI Preston managed to secure his first points of the season and will be looking to use that as a platform from which to build. The team’s most senior rider, Rob Davidson had a difficult weekend as he was forced to make last minute changes to his bike and ended up with an 11th place finish overall. Speaking afterwards d he said, “The Saturday was really bad for me as I just didn’t gel with the track all weekend and therefore I was having issues setting up my Kawasaki. We managed to make some good changes and by the final race of the weekend I felt much more confident about everything and this showed in my results. It’s a tough first year in the pro class and I am learning new things each time I go out on the Go&Fun Kawasaki, I’d like to thank Mark at MJW again for all his help so far.” After a busy weekend Team owner Mark Woodage spoke to their official website, saying, “It’s been a busy month for the boys and they have all been learning each time they have gone out on track. Each of them is progressing at every round and I hope that continues for the rest of the season. Denny (Rapson) is currently sitting out of racing at the moment after breaking his leg, we wish him all the best and his bike will be waiting for him when he is fully fit. We would also like to wish Will Keogh all the best with his GCSE’s and he’ll be back to racing before we know it. I will continue to develop the younger riders and help them progress through the ranks by giving them the chance and opportunity to race within a team. They all work well together and I am confident by the end of the season we will be reporting on some strong results to finish the season on a high.” www.sportip.co.uk 63
