MILNTHORPE
First established in 1863, Milnthorpe CC plays their home games at The Recreation Field on
Park Road in Cumbria. They are led by the team of President Gordon Wilson and Chairman
Kevin James and the club is looking to progress under their guidance.
In 2014 their first team managed to
put together a solid campaign as they
compiled a record of 9 wins, 6 draws and
7 defeats from their 22 matches. This saw
them finish in a safe mid-table position
with 169 points on the board.
This should provide the team with a solid
platform upon which to build as they look
ahead towards their 2015 campaign. As
long as they are able to retain their current
group of players and perhaps make one or
two quality additions they should be in with
a good chance of claiming a higher league
finish next time around.
One of the highlights of the Milnthorpe set
up is the superb youth section that they
have in place. This part of the club looks
to provide young players from the local
area with an opportunity to play the game
in a safe and enjoyable environment whilst
