It has recently been announced that the Eastbourne Eagles are due to compete in the National
League in 2015. Sport in Profile Magazine caught up with the club’s Joint Press Officer Paul
Watson to find out more about the set up that they have in place.
He started by telling us about his involvement, saying,
“I have watched speedway at Eastbourne since 1994,
although I have been following the sport since 1965.
I started going to Eastbourne after I moved to Sussex
for work reasons.
My main role is to try and generate as much publicity
for the club as possible. We have a website, Facebook
pages and are on Twitter. The biggest challenge for
speedway - as it is for many smaller sports in the UK
- is trying to get publicity on a national scale.
