WEST Club BRIDGFORD playing representative rugby for our constituent body Notts, Lincs & Derbys as well as members of The Leicester Tigers Developing Player Programme (DPP). As the youth players reach the U16/U17 level they train at the same time as the senior section and are invited to participate in a number of skill based sessions. Five of the current U18s have played for senior teams this season. We currently liaise with junior schools in the area and many of our coaches give up their time to carry out of hours training programmes. We also have strong links with both the University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University. We want to maintain our current healthy playing membership and continue to recruit junior players. We have plans to retain the membership at the U16 and above category. Continued improvement of our facilities will always be a long term goal. The club has aspirations to gain promotion to level 5 in the next five years and for our ladies section to gain promotion to The Premiership. Lots to do!” There is much to admire about the set up that West Bridgford currently has in place and hopefully they will be able to continue in the same manner for many years to come. Everyone at Sport in Profile Magazine would like to wish them the best of luck for the rest of the season. www.sportip.co.uk 39
