AYR CURLING CLUB The development group is also working very hard with the Royal Caledonian Curling Club who is our Ruling Body to produce a programme for local schools both primary and secondary to try and attract them to participate in our sport. We have also started Disnae Virtual club along with the R.C.C.C for our new members who have not curled before, this club is for new members only where they learn to play all the positions in a curling team and get to meet other people within the ice rink and this helps them to find a club(s) they would be interested in joining. They also receive some free coaching and help throughout the year. Our Head Coach Kirsty Letton received the honour of being awarded top grassroots coach of the year at the Royal Caledonian Curling Club annual general meeting. Also at the meeting past President Billy Howat received the honour of becoming vice president of the Royal Caledonian Curling Club and we all wish him well for the next two years. Curling is an enjoyable and social sport that can appeal to all age groups and abilities from the top dedicated curler in the Olympics to the local club
