TUNBRIDGE WELLS TUNBRIDGE WELLS Located in one of the finest parts of Kent, Tunbridge Wells Hockey Club boasts 4 outstanding ladies teams and a huge junior section, not to mention 5 aspiring men’s sides. Its charming setting in the quaint Royal Spa Town has, over the years, been dominated by larger rival hockey clubs, but the last few years has seen a period of unrest in the league tables. TWHC has somewhat upset the apple cart in the local area with their ladies 1XI now playing East Premier and teetering on the verge of perhaps vying for a place in National League.  Our success is much attributed to our grass roots. Players who are pretty much born and bred Tunbridge Wellians (as they are so called) are the foundation of the club and have risen from the ranks of the junior section and up in to the ladies’ teams.  Never has the term ‘loyal’ been more appropriate to use, and it’s this type of loyalty within our club that we can be truly grateful for and for which can only be admired.  Whilst some clubs see players come and go on a regular basis, TWHC’s constant 30 ISSUE 02
