Based on Woodfield Lane in Surrey, Ashtead CC currently competes in Division 2 of the
Surrey Championship. They are led by the team of Chairman Richard Laudy and President
Chris Weller and the club has made a considerable amount of progress under their guidance.
This was evidenced in 2014 with their first team
putting together a superb campaign as they finished
with a record of 10 wins, 3 draws and 3 defeats with
2 games being cancelled. This saw them finish top of
the league with 126 points on the board.
This was a fantastic achievement for the team and
is a just reward for all of the hard work that has been
put into making them a success. They will now be
focused on ensuring that they can continue to be
successful next time around and so long as they can
retain their current group of players they should have
a good chance of doing so.
Ashtead is not a club to focus solely upon their senior
section however and this is evidenced by the superb
youth set-up that they have in place. This part of the
club looks to provide young players from the local
area with an opportunity to play the game in a safe
and enjoyable environment whilst helping them to
reach their full potential.
