to have a good support base and this also has the
potential to provide them with a valuable source of
additional revenue.
Last year’s performances gave them a great platform
from which to build during the off-season and they have
worked hard to make sure that they do not stand still.
So long as they are able to retain their current group of
players and perhaps make one or two quality additions
they will be in with a good chance of a successful
campaign.
Indeed their start to the season has been positive and
they have continued to produce an entertaining brand
of football. One of their highlights so far has been a
thrilling victory in the FA Vase where they defeated
Cheddar by 3 goals to 2.
A good cup run can be a major boost for the club
as they look to build momentum for the rest of the
campaign. Supporters always enjoy performing well
in these competitions and there is plenty of prize
money to be won in the FA Vase which can prove to be
invaluable to non-league teams.
Away from first team action, Welton Rovers is
committed to playing a vital role in their local
community and make a considerable effort to provide
football for anyone wishing to get involved. They also
take part in fundraising for worthy causes in the area.
