NETBALL
Netball players at international level have to combine
their training with working or studying and the
commitment level required to be able to compete,
train and tour is significant. The sport itself requires a
full-time approach, particularly if they are looking to be
successful.
There is more to being successful than hard work
from the players and England Netball has a number of
strong partnerships in place. Sport England is a major
contributor whilst the English Institute of Sport (EIS)
provides specialist support services to the competitors
on a day by day basis.
At younger age groups the National Academy
Programme works with players at U17 and U19 level
and has led to a number of players successfully making
the progression into Senior international status.
