HULL CITY
TIGERS
However, it’s not all just about the games. The club are
keen to get everyone involved, most of all families and
the disabled. They have created facilities at the KC
Stadium to make sure that this happens.
A Family Focused area was designated in the MKM
South Stand at the stadium. It is aimed to be a safe
place for children where they can watch the game
safely and not need to be concerned about the
‘boisterous’ behaviour of the other supporters. Not only
that, but they get the chance to take part in once-in-alifetime experiences, such as be guard of honour when
the players go onto the pitch or go into the tunnel where
they can watch the players line up.
Adding to that, there are now 300 spaces for the
ambulant disabled, with 150 spaces for wheelchair
users and their helpers so they can watch the match
with more ease than before. The stadium facilities for
supporters to use the stadium wheelchairs.
Certainly Hull City Tigers can be considered supportive
in charity and community work, supporting more
than 100 different charities and organizations such
as MacMillan, the MS Society and schoolchildren in
Africa. Not only do they give out signed merchandise
for auctions and raffles but the players and staff take a
more active role in going out to schools and hospitals,
spending hours of their time with their fans and the less
advantaged.
