HULL CITY
TIGERS
Before 2002, Hull City Tigers
used to play at Boothferry Park.
Later they would move to and
play their home games at the
KC Stadium. The 1st team are
managed by former Manchester
United and Sheffield United
player Steve Bruce, who has
been with the team since 2012
after managing several other
teams. They play in the Premier
League and created a sterling
performance, their highest
achievement reaching the FA
Cup final in 2014.
The 1st team are not the only
squad with relative success.
The Reserves team play in
the Final Third Development
League and their home fixtures
are played at the Church Road
Ground, which is the home
ground for North Ferriby United.
In the 2013/14 season, the
Reserves won the league title
for the second time since the
2004/05 season. That same
year they were crowned overall
champions of the league for
having the most points. They
also compete in the U21
Premier League Cup and the
East Riding County Cup, where
they have solid form.
Hull City also has a junior
squad. They play in the Football
League Youth Alliance, although
their home games were once
at Winterton Rangers’ home
stadium. Now they play at the
Bishop Burton College, the new
academy home. From here the
senior teams have a strong pick
of players who show potential.
But the men are not the only
ones with a team. The women
have got involved as well.
Playing in the North East
Regional Women’s Football
League and coached by
Jennifer Kelly, they are a really
strong team and are a force to
be reckoned with.
