Challenges
“At the moment, we are on a high. This is our first full
season in the National League. We had two good
wins lately, against North Wales and also Swindon St
George, to momentarily hold top spot in the league.
With other results to come in, we currently sit joint 4th
with only two games to go.”
“The biggest challenge for us is securing funding. We
need to make the club self-sufficient. This means
getting sponsors on-board, as well as increasing the
playing squad. This increase will allow us to cover
hall costs; however we then need more wheelchairs
to cover the increase of numbers. We would love
to get a school on board which has a double indoor
basketball court and to get a deal in place where we
can train for free in exchange for providing wheelchair
sports on their curriculum. This would save us money,
put disability sports on the schools agenda and also
provide a change to recruit players.”

“We are a community club. We recruit players from
other wheelchair sport and from all over the Merseyside
