CHAPTER 2 Halloween by Ashlyn T.  It was a dare. I was dared to go into the “haunted house”. I took the dare. I was going to prove that I was a dare devil.       As I drove up to the house on Weary Road, I could
 already feel the air getting colder. As I stepped out of my car I could hear
 the branches on the dead trees swaying back and forth, even though there was no
 wind. As I stepped on the old steps the creaking made me flinch. I grasped the
 cold, rusty railing. I started telling myself “go back now” but, I didn’t. I
 slowly pulled myself up the stairs and took a hold of the icy doorknob. As I
 opened the door slowly I heard the squeaking of the hinges. I stepped in. The
 dusty air made me sneeze. I started walking in further but, was interrupted by
 the door slamming shut. “Ok this is getting creepy, "I murmured to myself.       I looked into a room a my left. I saw broken
 chairs and couches. The flickering lights from broken lamps startled me. As I
 looked into the room on my left, I saw something different. Two , foggy, white
 creatures were flying across the room. They bumped into some old boxes filled
 with books and dust. I made my way over to the boxes, when the creatures popped
 out at me. “Get out, get out” they said over and over. “Get out,” one yelled at
 me. Frightened, I started running outside. When I reached my car I jumped in
 and tried starting it but it wouldn’t start. When I thought I was safe I got enough courage to go back inside.
 Again, as I walked up the stairs. They seemed to be creaking saying “turn
 around and leave when you have the chance” but, I wanted explore so I kept 3
