This photo contest calls upon the community to submit their best photos of rising water levels during the King Tide each year. These photos help the utilities department identify where rising tides may cause flooding and erosion so they can help to mitigate it. Two winners are chosen in both the adult and the student categories. Each winner receives a prize. Revenue from these sponsorships will go toward the prizes for the winners, as well as a monetary donation to the science program of the student winners’ schools.
