Messina is a hot spot for art, culture, fun, and adventure. With all the ports and life buzzing around this Sicilian Port, it is not a surprise that most of the things here are referred to as a paradise, inside of its paradise. From the ports, to houses, to everything else, you will find adventure on every turn. Not to mention food. “Food?”, you may ask. Here in Messina, we know you vivacious tourists love your Sicilian Cuisine, so we have taken in your consideration and created the most lively and friendly restaurant on the island: Al Padrino! Right near the ports of our wonderful city, Al Padrino sits high on the critic list as even the Pope Clement III said that it was “Absolutely Scrumptious!” Our motto should not only be ours, but yours. ‘Use the competition as your oxygen’.
Main Dishes.
Sword Fish- Swordfish from the Messina Strait is particularly delicious and is cooked in a thousand (all equally-appetizing) ways. Fish, crustaceans and mussels make a sumptuous soup and are a condiment for rice recipes and spaghetti baked in foil.
Pastries- Local pastries are the Sicilian classics renowned the world over: cannoli, cassate, almond paste, martorana fruit and the typical Messinese pignolata.
