SPLICED LIFE / ISSUE 05 20-ISH QUESTIONS WITH: LORRAINE LOOTS I realized I was an adult when I was 5. I realized I’d never be an adult when I met my other half. When I grow up I want to be a farmer. The movie of my life would be a tragicomedy. Best invention since the wheel: movies. A house is not a home without a wellequipped kitchen. I’m currently working on 365 Postcards for Ants. I’m really proud of my parents. You’d be amazed if you saw my handwriting. You’d be horrified if I showed you my first studio. I cannot survive winter without homemade soup. My ultimate comfort food is pizza. My guiltiest pleasure is red wine. When no-one’s looking, I have a nap. In my next life I want to be a travel writer. Every morning, I make big plans for the day. I believe that everything is connected. I’ve really got to work on my communication/staying-in-touch-withpeople skills. Best advice I was ever given was to quit my job. Where can peeps see more of what you do? lorraineloots.com paintingsforants.tumblr.com/archive www.facebook.com/paintingsforants instagram.com/lorraineloots twitter.com/lorraineloots  29
