SPLICED Issue 04\r\n\r\nINTERVIEW with KERON GRANT\r\n\r\nISSUE 04\r\n\r\nThe Man of Steel, frozen in\r\ntime above Metropolis. Keron\r\nhas a knack for capturing an\r\nexhilarating moment.\r\n\r\nSM: C’mon you can tell us, your secret is\r\nsafe.\r\nKG: [Laughs] My lips are sealed, man. I can\r\nsay that I want to do more gallery pieces\r\nthis year and something involving cowboys\r\nmixed with motorcycles or something like\r\nthat, a cool Western thing with bikes.\r\nSM: That sounds cool, so something like\r\nBravestarr?\r\n\r\nSM: When you’re not making amazing\r\nart, what do you like to do in your spare\r\ntime or to unwind?\r\nKG: I’m a huge motorcycle fanatic, I like\r\nto design them in my spare time and ride\r\nthem as much as possible. If there’s a comic\r\nconvention I’m attending I usually like to\r\ntake the long way round and enjoy the ride.\r\nI do my art to pay for working on my next\r\nmotorcycle [laughs]. I’m also an art geek; I\r\nlove books with anything art related.\r\n\r\nKG: What’s that?\r\nSM: [Gasp!] It’s a cartoon from the\r\neighties that’s set in the 23rd century\r\non a desert planet in a town called New\r\nTexas. It has robotic horses that talk, and\r\nbad guys that ride flying cattle steeds\r\nand Marshal Bravestarr who kicks all\r\nkinds of ass, and the villain is this giant\r\ncattle monster with robotic horns\r\nthat calls him Stampede. It’s awesome.\r\n(Splicers, look out for a Bravestarr article\r\nin the future lol)\r\nKG: [Laughs] Damn, I need to check that\r\nout. Thanks for the heads up!\r\n\r\nSM: And finally, our last question, and\r\nprobably the most important of them all.\r\nWhen Meatloaf said that he would do\r\nanything for love, but he won’t do that,\r\nwhat do you think he was referring to?\r\nKG: [Laughs] and [Laughs some more] I\r\nthink he wouldn’t give up his motorcycle!\r\nSM: Thank you so much for your time\r\nKeron and for allowing us to showcase\r\nyour work.\r\nKG: Thanks very much, take care.  \r\n\r\n31\r\n\r\n
