NEWS SpAwoo! By Quel Vasquez Ateneo SPEED’s very first team-building event, SPICNIC: Mini Sportsfest, had entered the GA battlefield with a loud “SpAwoo” ringing across the land! SPICNIC Part One was themed as a spinoff of the popular graphic novel-turned-movie “300” depicting the fearless faceoff of the Greeks clashing with the numerous Persians. It is a series of games and contests, each with points to be earned, adding up to the culminating 1st to 4th place finishes. A cheer was introduced early on; an unsure ‘SpAwoo! SpAwoo! rang out at first but this same cheer helped the Spartans-in-training garner confidence and integrity as SpAwoo! the afternoon progressed.
