Three years ago, life took an unexpected turn for Jimmy Harrell, beloved owner of Jimmy G’ s Concepts in Orange Beach, when he suffered a stroke. For someone so active in both business and community life, the experience was jarring— but it also became a defining moment. Today, Jimmy credits the grace of the Lord for his recovery and the strength to keep moving forward with purpose.
Being named a Caretaker of the Torch for the 2025 Art for Heart Gala is more than just an honor— it’ s personal.“ I’ m thankful to the Lord that I’ m still here,” Jimmy shares.“ And if my story can inspire someone else to hold on, to push through, then that’ s a legacy I’ ll be proud of.”
Jimmy’ s path to advocacy began with the encouragement of close friends, who invited him to get involved with the American Heart Association. Through that connection, he discovered the power of sharing his story and raising awareness about heart and stroke health— especially within the local community he holds so dear.
