When it came to the wedding, the couple opted for intimacy and meaning over grandeur.“ We both wanted a special night celebrating with our family and friends— not a huge event,” Carson explained. The ceremony took place on Robinson Island in Orange Beach, with Carson and Zachary exchanging vows atop a boat while guests watched from shore. Dressed in a strapless lace gown and barefoot, Carson arrived by boat with her father, who then lifted her onto the ceremony boat— and officiated the wedding.
“ We prayed, thanked God, and then toasted to how amazing this life is we get to live and build together,” she recalled. The couple danced on deck as the boat pulled away, surrounded by cheers and white flags waving from a small boat parade that had carried their guests to the island.
The celebration continued at The Port at Zeke’ s, where guests— dressed in white, cream, or tan— enjoyed a relaxed, coastal reception. Decorated in green and white florals, the venue felt like a natural extension of the couple’ s style. Specialty cocktails honored their pup, with names like“ Mumford’ s Martini”( a lemon-drop) and a house margarita. A sushi spread, grazing table, and passed hors d ' oeuvres kept guests mingling. Later in the evening, cheeseburger sliders, fries, brownies, and ice cream rounded out the fun.
From a mountaintop proposal to an island send-off, their story is rooted in intention, faith, and love.“ We stayed traditional in the areas it needed to be,” Carson said,“ but stayed unique to Zach and me everywhere else.”
This was more than a wedding. It was a celebration of two hearts that have grown together, shaped by time, travel, and a golden retriever named Mumford. And it’ s just the beginning.
One of the most personal touches was a photo wall featuring snapshots of the couple with each guest— from childhood to present day.“ We wanted our guests to feel special and to know how much they truly mean to us,” Carson said.
The cake, made by Carson’ s aunt, was a four-tier vanilla almond creation with buttercream frosting and cascading white blooms. On top stood a fondant version of Mumford, lovingly placed to watch over the evening.
Following the festivities, the couple honeymooned in Los Cabos, soaking up sunshine and serenity. Now settled on five acres in Bon Secour near Tin Top, Carson and Zachary enjoy the best of both worlds— country quiet and beach-town charm.
