SPJIMR ACADEMIC CONCLAVE
An Exchange of Ideas
The SPJIMR Academic Conclave, popularly known by its acronym SAC, is a platform for fostering
business-academia integration, a unique initiative under which corporate leaders discuss emerging
trends and share their experiences with delegates and students.
Six of the most prominent issues affecting the functional domains of finance, marketing,
operations, information management, consulting and human resources are generally presented as
themes in SAC each year.
SAC 2013 was a four day action packed event that was inaugurated on January 11, 2013. It
comprised panel discussions, key note addresses, symposia and exhaustive deliberation on
emerging trends in management and the changing business environment.
The 2013 industry participants included representatives and leaders of organisations like Amazon
Web services, Accenture, Ford India, L&T, Unilever, Standard Chartered, KPMG, Mahindra &
Mahindra, Deloitte Consulting, Google, CISCO, Ogilvy & Mather, AC Neilson, IBM, McKinsey &
Company, PWC, and many others.
Acclaimed global academicians and thinkers including Prof. Nirmalya Kumar of London Business
School, Prof. Dipak C. Jain of INSEAD, Deans of Schulich Business School and NUS, Singapore have
graced the SAC platform in the past.
SAC 2013 saw 60 industry stalwarts and academicians including over 600 corporate participants.
