WHY IS THANKSGIVING
IMPORTANT?
Thanksgiving Day
Thanksgiving began as a day of giving
thanks and sacrifice
for the blessing of the harvest and of
the preceding year.
It is celebrated as
a national holiday in the United States,
Canada, some of the Caribbean islands,
and Liberia, but held on various dates.
In the United States, Thanksgiving
is celebrated on the fourth Thursday
of November.
It’s a time where family members take
the opportunity to assemble and enjoy
a day filled with good food, football,
and the big annual Macy's
Thanksgiving Day Parade.
While Thanksgiving Day is good, the
practice of giving thanks
daily is also crucial.
The importance of Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is important because
it encourages thankfulness.
We live in a world filled with a lot
of negativity, hurt, and pain.
However, identifying with things in
our lives in which we are thankful
for can completely change our
attitude and give us a renewed
perspective on life.
It also helps us evaluate
the important things in our lives.
