ANGELIC FACTS
issue 1
The word Angel comes from the Greek word, angellos, which means "messenger."
Angels are God's messengers who carry our prayers up to Heaven.
There are different classes of angels or heavenly creatures: Cherubs, Seraphs, Ascended Masters, Archangels, Angels, Fairies, Joy Guides and more.
Angels have never lived a human life except for two who are the Archangel Metatron who lived as the prophet Enoch and the Archangel Sandalphon who lived as the prophet Elijah.
It was the Archangel Gabriel who told Mary that she would give birth to baby Jesus
The Archangel Michael is the highest of all the Archangels and is often depicted holding a sword. Many who have seen him mention that his eyes look as though there is fire in them - this is because of the heavenly light that streams and radiates from him. The heavenly light in his eyes is so strong and bright that it looks like fire.
The word Arch means chief and the word angel means messenger. So Archangel means Chief Messenger as they God’s chief messengers.
Angels are wingless as they are never mentioned in the bible to have wings. We see them with wings as this is how we have learnt to see them through pictures and what we have been taught.
Angels are mentioned 273 times in the Bible
Angels were created by God
Angels were by God's side when he created the earth
You should never feel guilty asking the angels for help – no matter how big or small the help you need is. Angels love to serve us as to serve us is to serve God. They want for us to call upon them for help and as they want to help us in everyway that they can. To help and guide us is to serve God and follow his will.
You should NEVER worship angels. Remember that it is God who allows these heavenly helpers to guide and protect up. Remember to always thank God for allowing his angels to help us. “Angels are the servants of the Lord doing service to God” - Hebrews 1:7,14
