The fear of death follows from
the fear of life.
A man who lives fully
is prepared to die at any time.
Mark Twain
opting out
of the dream
because it’s not
real. In the dream state
it is our reality at the time
and it doesn’t cross our mind
to voluntarily become physically
conscious again to avoid the trauma
of a vivid or violent dream. If it is
true deep sleep where the soul and
the body separate, the choice is not
a physical one to wake up anyway,
we have to wait until whatever our
mission, visitation or message is to
be complete because, at the risk of
sounding like a rapper, “the soul is
in control.”
There is also that very common state
of just drifting off or early morning
surfacing from a deep sleep when
our consciousness is altered and
when many people report having
premonitions, messages or seeing
loved ones. Again, following the
practice of mediumship and how
that works communicating with
those who have passed over, we can
only assume that we connect in that
mind state or state of consciousness
because we are in the same state of
consciousness; ie same as death.
Anyone who has ever had a serious
operation or period of induced
unconsciousness will understand
the principle. After an anaesthetic
we wake up with no sense or
comprehension of physical time.
What we do whilst we are asleep?
If our brain is still producing
electrical energy then we are up
to something for sure, even if it
isn’t in the physical body. We don’t
always remember our down time
but sleep is not only necessary for
physical and mental regeneration, it
is also without doubt a window to
Some people are so afraid to die

the world we go to when we die. A
sneak preview so that when our time
comes we are not afraid because we
have visited before; even if it is only
to the waiting room or the doorstep.
You might be one of the unlucky
people who doesn’t remember
their dreams although medical
researchers are pretty sure everyone
dreams. You are more likely to
remember them during your
younger years as your sleep tends to
be deeper and less fractured than it
can be in our adult years. Research
has shown that women remember
dreams more than men, possibly
because women are more sensitive
to their own feelings and thoughts.
If you’re creative, fantasize a lot
and love new experiences, you are
apparently the most likely to recall
dreams and maybe have more of an
idea of death than the rest of us.
It is known that the brain in its
waking state deals in detail and the
unconscious brain isn’t able to perform
in the same way. So how come some
dreams are so real and do have detail
that seems real at the time?
