We’ve all heard stories of people floating close to the ceiling,
looking down on themselves on the operating table and at the
same time overhearing the conversations of medical staff.
Then, just as they’re going towards an amazing, loving light, a
voice or a feeling says something like “It’s not your time.”
Just as a hypnotist brings you ‘back into the room’ with a click
of their fingers, you suddenly find yourself back in your body
as the defibrillator jolts you back to ‘life’.
Experiencers are nearly always
changed forever by the experience.
There are other similarities that
most NDE-ers go through, such as
the feeling is not one of being in
a dream, but being in an extreme
reality. Different cultures interpret
what they see within the doctrine
of their religions, so Christians see
Jesus and angels and call it Heaven.
Catholics see the Virgin Mary.
Protestants don’t.
NDEs have been around since
pretty much forever, always with
the experiencer struggling to
put into words the journey they
took. It’s not just that words can’t
describe it. It seems it’s a multidimensional experience of vivid
colours and a feeling of being such
