EDITORIAL by Richard Stillman
ISSUE 19
We have made the plunge and decided to swim without the armbands of your having to buy the magazine via Blue Bills.
Any experience of running a magazine should involve selling it so this is undoubtedly a good thing. However, it is also a risky
enterprise so if you are reading this and have taken the plunge yourself then we thank you for your support of the arts at
Winchester.
We had a great workshop with Philippa Hamilton, an experienced magazine editor, who said start always with what your
readers want. So tell us: we really value your feedback and your ideas as well as your submissions so please do get involved
and help us take Spirit Lamp further.
I would like to thank the team for all their hard work, the div dons for all their support and all our talented contributors. If you
fancy dipping your toe in, do join the team and/or send us your work.
