Missionaries on the battlefield

issionaries have been around since the early 18th & 19th centuries. In the beginning they were more explorer seeking to civilize an unknown world of indigenous people unlike themselves. however, as the Gospel of Jesus Christ swiftly swept across the Ancient World. Suddenly, christianity became a deadly commission. Over the past few decades we have seen a decline in missionaries being killed abroad after a documentary film on missionaries killed abroad was released. Today, it is not so much the missionary on the open ground but rather it is those Christians who face persecution daily in Islamic dominated territories within East/North Africa along with MIddle East. The rise of religious violence and persecution for proclaiming the name of Jesus Christ has driven many underground. Thousands of worshipping Christ in the Middle East and Specific Regions of East Africa that are dominated by islam. these individual risk their lives to spread, teach, equip and train others through

discipleship. The loniless that many feel from the isolation of family members and community leaves many struggling. for others the risk is far greater. Christianity cost them their lives, imprisonment, public humilation and for the women rape and public explotation. There are women who have been branded as Christian risk losing their own children through exile and banishment by their spouses who continue to serve the accepted religion of Islam. Persecution is real as many find themselves truly counting the cost of serving Christ. The Underground churches and followers of Jesus Christ will soon find it's way into the core of the United States as more and more churches adopt a secular version of Christianity. Few churches today will acknowledge or fight against the growing antagonistic and atheist views that have forced itself into the United States. Today non-christians have more rights to not practice than those who choose to follow Chirst. It is time for us to take that Stand!
