Michelle Shaay aka Seasoned Peach
Michelle Shaay is an Atlanta native and debuted as an actress in 2009. The performer landed a principal role in a progressive stage play entitled “To Each His Own” that showcased her talent at The Whole World Theatre Company based in downtown Atlanta.
The actress continued to hone her craft in other local theatrical productions, which included a short stint with Black Love Theatre’s Improv Ensemble and also starred as “Lovie” in “Our Liberated Justice” (Georgia State University), a re-enactment based on true events that examined the life of Black Nationalists accused of robbing a bank to finance their cause.
As Michelle Shaay became a familiar face in the Atlanta acting community, her talents allowed her to transition to short films, feature films, and even gain appearances as spokesperson and interviewer at the prestigious Soul Train Music Awards Pre-Gifting Suite. She was fortunate enough to interview such celebrities as Rodney Perry.
The actress also appeared in a short film entitled “Love Hurts” as director Dwight Mercadel Jr. (graduate of American Intercontinental University)examines the ill of domestic violence within our communities.
The short was featured in THE FIRST ANNUAL AIU DIGITAL ARTS AND ENTERTAINMENT SHOWCASE (LeFont Theatre in Atlanta) with celebrity host Jasmine Guy and an appearance by actor/writer Mel Jackson. “Love Hurts” won (4) awards including “Best Short Narrative.”
She can also be seen in other independent films such as “Unspoken Words” (starring Robin Givens) Role- Nurse Williams; Beat Street 2012-Co-starring Tommy Ford, and a gritty, Atlanta urban drama entitled “My Sistaz’ Keeper (Role-Chronic-) that has well over 840,000 views courtesy of YouTube.com. She has also been featured in commercials too.
Seasoned Peach means “Mature Fruit” and Michelle Shaay has truly evolved into an amazing artist.
