Noel-Schure held the title of Senior Vice President , Media , at Columbia Records where she was responsible for creating comprehensive media plans for new and established recording artists . She is known for being committed to her clients , and has a proven track record of developing well-crafted and highly effective publicity campaigns . Her talent and abilities place her at the very top of her profession .

During her tenure with Columbia Records , she created memorable and highly effective publicity campaigns for a wide variety of artists beginning with Mariah Carey ’ s “ Music Box ” juggernaut in 1993 , continuing through Will Smith ’ s 1997 solo breakthrough , “ Big Willie Style ” ( and its zeitgeist single , “ Getting ’ Jiggy Wit it ”), and “ Musicology ,” Prince ’ s 2004 return-to-platinum form .
She helped launch the career of the thenunknown Destiny ’ s Child in 1998 , guiding the group through its 1999 multi-platinum watershed , “ The Writing ’ s On The Wall ,” and 2001 smash , “ Survivor .” She executed successful press campaigns for each member ’ s solo albums , including two top-charting gospel releases for Michelle Williams , Grammy-winning releases for Kelly Rowland and international and national tours for every Beyoncé solo album .
Noel-Schure has played an indispensable role in the multi-platinum careers of Bow Wow , Jessica
Simpson , John Legend , among others becoming one of the most respected executives at the famed label group . She and Columbia Records publicist , Benny Tarantini , convinced Adele to sign with the label just before the US release of her first album , “ 19 .”
Her music business career started as a journalist . In 1985 , Noel-Schure joined the staff of Black Beat Magazine where she served as editor until moving to Columbia Records as Director , Media in 1993 . In 1997 , she was named Senior Director , Media . Before leaving Columbia Records in 2010 to open what is now Schure Media Group , she served as the department head for Columbia Records Media , handling press for every genre .
Yvette Noel-Schure holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from the City College of New York , the first Masters in Global Entertainment from Berklee School of Music and an honorary Doctorate in Humane Letters , honoris causa , from St . Peter ’ s University . In 2018 she received the Caribbean Luminary Award from the American Foundation for the University of the West Indies and in May of 2019 she was inducted in to the City College of New York Communications Alumni Association . She was also awarded the Townsend Harris Medal from The City College of New York in 2018 . She is the mother of three and has been married to David Schure , the President and CEO of Schure Media Group , for over three decades . Her love and passion for the island of her birth , Grenada , has set her on a course to become a cultural ambassador for the tri-island state , a journey that is in the works .
