Raymond Matthew Calypsonian,“ BEAST”

Raymond Matthew was born in Gouyave, St. John, Grenada in 1966. He attended the St. John’ s Anglican School and graduated from St. John’ s Christian Secondary School. Raymond is a member of The Royal Grenada Police Force( RGPF) and is presently ranked as Assistant Superintendent of Police( ASP).

Raymond began singing Calypso in 1993 with his stage name“ Beast”. He has won several titles such as Police Monarch in 1993 / 94 / 95. He won the National Monarch in 1998 and 1999 and placed second in competition on numerous occasions. He is the reigning Humorous Calypso Monarch.

Raymond is married and has five children.
