From the very beginning this book draws you in and keeps you interested. The accounts of the authors travel experiences are witty and down to earth, making this an easy, informative and sometimes surprising read. The photos are a great added touch of reality and help to make you feel like you shared the experience.

This book is wonderfully written! And recommended. I enjoyed the author ' s travel journey through every page and finished it within the day of its arrival from Amazon. There ' s so much interesting information, many useful travel tips and historical detail nestled between the covers. This was a special ' joyful ' travel reading tour because all possible adventures were halted during our COVID-19 lockdown. Having had a long career working with an international organization that allowed me visits to both Thailand and The Philippines, I was led down memory lane and new discovery lanes that left me with a thirst to visit the other

An engaging and delightful read which takes the reader along as a travelling companion. The graphic details and comparisons complete the reality of the trip. You feel what she feels— a novel, enlightening, and fun adventure. Also, there is a lesson here for expatriate wives to take the opportunity to enrich their lives while their spouses are hard at work. Once the journey begins, it is difficult to put this book down.
