From Grenada ’ s national dish , Oil Down , to a Callaloo soup , dreaming of the Spice Island will be easier than ever with this year ’ s festival !
Not to be missed are several spectacular fashion shows with well-known Grenadian designers exposing their creations on beautiful and talented models . Watch out as fashion designers Tricia Grant Lewis , Kim Francis , Dali Belle Rose , Aniona Hamid , all coming out of Grenada , along with Milly Lawrence-Tamsott of Hot Needle Designs and Angella Alexis of Mad Fashions , of Toronto and Montreal respectively , and fashion icon Fe Noel of New York , will use the Spice Island as a backdrop for their ready-to-wear to couture shows .
The 2020 edition of Spice Island Cultural Day received praise from Grenadian communities around the world , including personal greetings from Prime Minister Dr . Keith Mitchell , and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau .

Legendary Calypsonian , The Mighty Sparrow to celebrate his 86th birthday , will be interviewed by the President of the Association , Byron Cameron , aka “ Doggies ”, Montreal ’ s legend Calypso Monarch and Singer V ’ ghn will tell us what makes him the person he is today . The Beast , King Scholar and Squeezie will join the festival , performing their greatest hits backed by The Royal Grenada Police Force Band . Other top Grenadian artists : Mexy D Messenger , and 13 year old Elliya Young , both directly out of the Spice , along with KennyC , Doggies , Jenny & Jenna Noel , Eddie Bullen , West-Can Youth Drummers and many more from North America will entertain you and get you up on your feet enjoying the rhythms of calypso , soca and the groovy sounds of the Spice Island .
Grenada ’ s culture will be front and center with The Capitol Drummers and Dancers and The Carriacou Train String Band performing at their best .
Great music , fashion , food and pure Grenadian culture are promised at the 4th annual Spice Island Cultural Festival , with its theme “ A Celebration of Life – Food-Fashion-Music- Culture ”.
Folklore tales , a major part of a Caribbean upbringing , will also play an important role for the children enjoying the Festival .
