regrettably , in some instances , distrusting of those in authority such as the police , Minister of Health , Government , Prime Minister , etc . And then our reliance on social media for information , believing that if it ’ s in circulation , it must be true . Check your source ! Is it from the WHO , CDC , or own Health Ministry ? We ’ ve been restricted , we want to exhale and this also makes us impatient with respect to personal interactions with each other .
Q : Message to those in the diaspora
A : We are all in this together , we cannot get rid of Covid-19 until all of us get rid of COVID-19 . We all have to achieve that level of vaccination . There needs to be fair distribution of vaccines across the globe and first world nations need to stop hoarding vaccines , because the longer it takes the world to get to a level of vaccination , the greater the risk of variants that will negate the very vaccines that we ’ re holding . India is one of the largest manufacturers of vaccines in the world , and they have shared it with us . They have had to now slow or prevent the export of it and that ’ s not hoarding , that ’ s very different . But what we see happening by some other countries is that they have more than they can use and in some instances , it ’ s allowed to expire , while some of us in the rest of the world are begging for a first dose . have been born in Grenada to come visit with you . Tell them how beautiful a place it is and why it should be the first place they go when they are able to have a vacation again .

• Number one hurdle is vaccination
• Two is building the economy or rebuilding the various sectors
It is the right of any Grenadian living here or abroad to have and share their opinions , and I value that , whether these opinions are in favor of , against or critical . I therefore encourage the diaspora to come back home to Grenada and make a difference however you can , and for however short a period you are able to do so . Come back home and make a difference .
I think the diaspora need to be aware of this and know that their voices can help to change the opinions of governments .
There is a strong connection between the diaspora and those here at home . We need to make sure that the first vacation you take , once you ’ re past Covid-19 , is a vacation home in Grenada . This will rekindle not just the connections with your home country , but help to revive the economy . Get friends who may not
