Quinta Speaks

Born in the best country in the world , this Grenadian / Canadian named Quinta , aka “ Spice Chick ”, is innovative in her own field ; using left over laces and stringz from her last projects , she created a line of fine cover ups using exactly that , Stringz N Thingz .
This 41 year old residing in Montreal can admit she loves fashion but hates sewing , so for years using nothing but a glue gun she created fashion show pieces , but after the show it was not wearable . So when she discovered she could create wearable clothing without a sewing machine , and no glue gun she was overwhelmed .
“ Fashion and design has always been a part of me , so creating a line that expresses my vibrancy was important and organic to me ,” says Quinta .
When Quinta moved to Montreal at age 17 , she always wanted to be and look different , whilst not forgetting who she was and where she came from .
As she created her own outfits people started asking her to make those incredible fashion pieces for them as well . As she started to participate in fashion shows , she realized that she did not want to make designs like everyone else . She wanted to be herself and bring the energy of Grenada with her . For example , the fishnet look in her new collection was inspired by the Gouyave fishing village . “ Inspiration is everything ”, says Quinta .
During Covid and its restrictions , Quinta was encouraged to get in shape and be the face of Stringz N Thingz . She does the makeup for her models and also the photography . She is a one woman show ; Designs , Make-up , Model and Photographer .
“ I am determined to not quit what l love , because what l love never quits me ”.
Stringz N Thingz , “ Yes we ’ re Spicy , but we ' re fun !”
