in school . My first year I won offensive player of the year , our team won a championship and I also made the countries regional team . This definitely reassured me that I have a future in football and that all the hard work started paying off . I graduated year two with my Bachelors Degree in Sports Management .
After securing my degrees I didn ’ t go to the job market , I ’ ve always seen my academic accomplishments as a backup plan . My dream was to play football professionally and my aim was to work hard to make it happen . I began playing football locally in Brooklyn , national duties with team Grenada and a lot of personal work . I later on moved to Germany where I played for half a season then got called up by the New York Cosmos where I started playing pro .
From there my pro career started taking flight . After two years with Cosmos I then went on to play two seasons in NISA league with New Amsterdam FC . I now currently play with El Paso Locomotives in USL Championship as a defender / winger .
One of my biggest strength as a footballer is my versatility and ability to see and create plays . I score occasionally but I am more of a facilitator and it has worked for my career . One of my greatest football experiences thus far I would say is playing in the Concacaf Gold Cup with team Grenada and assisting the lone goal we scored in the tournament , it was definitely a proud moment .
My advice to players who have dreams on making football a career path would be to always put God first , work hard , be open to critique and devote yourself to the game .”
