Lona has been volunteering her services in the Grenadian Montreal community throughout the years and holds a deep and abiding interest folklore and in cultural activities . She ’ s an active member of Grenada Ensemble Folk Performers . It ’ s a group dedicated to keeping the culture of Grenada alive while acting as cultural ambassadors spreading West Indian culture to the greater Montreal community through dance and folklore . She loves the performing arts , dancing , singing , and sharing stories of her past with the younger generation . In 2014 she won the crown of Ms . Grenada 40 Plus in a Montreal Grenadian Pageant show . Lona has always been willing to act as host for many performing artists from Grenada over the years who came to Canada to entertain the Grenadian community .
