The OEM Distributors are equipped with a large cap( Ford only) that has“ spark plug” style terminals for secure wire attachment and maximum protection against crossfire. Under the brass terminals of the cap and rotor is an extremely accurate hall effect pickup which never requires adjustment. The ½” steel shaft that spins the impeller is guided by a sealed ball bearing and long sintered bushing. This combination provides stable timing signals and spark delivery at any RPM.
