enough to make prints out of. However, when selecting a camera, you would need to get a model that would work well in low light situations and with large enough lenses, which is necessary for things like group shots. An example of that would be the Fujifilm XQ2. This is a wide-lens camera that fares fairly well in low light situations and also comes at a very good price, about $300. For more premium compact options there would be the Sony RX100, which retails for about $400, which is somewhat expensive, but it gives you a larger range of options, while also not being too overpriced. This camera also has a very good sensor, which means it would be far better at detecting changes in facial expression and movement. The sensor beats other cameras of similar type also in the market. It also has the benefit of being pocket sized and would be easy to carry everywhere. It is also not as expensive as a smartphone. There is also the option of Digital SLRs for people who want the ultimate control in shooting pictures and image quality. These are the choice of professional photographers, who often have a Canon or Nikon system set up. These are much bulkier than normal camera and use lenses that can be very heavy. There are also wide varieties of lenses to choose from, depending on the purpose of the camera; eg; if it is used for professional photo taking, or if you just want better quality photos. A good entry level camera would be the Nikon D300, which retails at $500. A more professional camera with a better lens would be the Canon 7D Mark II, priced at $1500, which has a much more professional viewfinder.
